The studio “Voenfilm” continues shooting the military-historical picture “Last Frontier” about the feat of the Podolsk cadets in October 1941 near Moscow. The first scenes were shot with the participation of People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Sergey Bezrukov, who in the film plays the role of the Soviet military front-line scout Ivan STARCHAK.

“Everything here is so thought out both technologically and formally. Feeling that you are immersed in 1941. When you know what happened in October 41 in this direction, on the Warsaw Highway, you know the feat of the Podolsk cadets, then it’s impossible to talk about it without tears. The enemy – these professional warriors who have traveled all over Europe – here, near Moscow, was stopped by the young guys, many of them were only 18 years old. I am happy to participate in this project. It is a great honor to play a historical personality – Captain Starchak, who fought along with them. This is part of our heroic history, “Sergey Bezrukov said in a short interview.

Ivan Georgievich Starchak is a legendary Soviet military intelligence officer, paratrooper, in October 1941 – captain, commander of reconnaissance and subversive detachment, one of the leaders of the defense on the Warsaw highway.

A group of paratroopers led by Captain I.G.Starchak made sorties to the rear of the enemy. The enemy called his squad “white death”. “Starchakovtsy” in the enemy rear destroyed bridges, burned trucks, tanks, cars, seized and destroyed many weapons and ammunition of the enemy.
